We loved these two before we even met them. Lauren’s first email to us was the most heartfelt and detailed email we’d ever received. She told us all about her & Tanner, how they were passionate about each other and passionate about the outdoors, and our personal favourite fact – that they have evening tea together every night and talk about how their days went. She explained that they didn’t want a big fancy wedding with tons of guests, and felt an elopement in Algonquin was way more their style.
We arrived at Algonquin for the elopement and found Lauren & Tanner hanging out in front of a bonfire. We chatted for a bit, and then Lauren snuck off to change into her dress. We love how simple she kept her bridal style, she wore a delicate bohemian-inspired dress, quickly threw some make-up on, pinned flowers into her curls, and put sandals on her feet.
The whole day was truly reflective of their personalities – laid-back, relaxed, and filled with emotion. They said their vows on a riverbank, and our hearts were so full watching them commit their lives to one another. We felt honoured to be there and to be the witnesses on their marriage license.
It was one of the most magical days ever – mosquitos and all.
